I'm having way too much fun with this, so I'll just share. 😁 I'm making a #lowpoly terrain generator that let's you compose different generators and operators. You can remap generator values, clamp it, add falloff (with several peaks), etc.

Currently I'm working on an island shape editor that will let you apply a falloff in a shape based on a provided list of points.

[2/2] The caveats are:
– the more specific the rules get the greater risk of breaking the “algorithm”
– it's easy to go down the rabbit hole of finding specific wording to make it work better (and fail)

TLDR; #ChatGPT can be used to generate #procedural content but time spent writing the rules may quickly become much greater than time required to implement those rules in a programming language (which gives you much better control anyway).

As you can see, these simple rules could be written by a non-programmer but there are caveats...

This is nice. #ChatGPT can be trained to generate non-existent words based on provided rules. Here it's a simple concatenation of prefixes and suffixes but I'm eager to find out how complicated the rules can get.
