After having a #Kobo #ereader for a few years, I finally got curious enough to see what #KOreader is. My main interest in it was the additional features it has for #reading #PDFs over #Nickel, the reading application Kobo readers come with by default. FYI, if you have a Libra 2 like I do, or another device that's had some hardware quirks w/ KOreader according to the installation guide, grab a nightly version until a new stable is released. The nightlies have changes that seem to fix them. 🧵

I finally cracked it.

If you are ever in the position where you need to present slides on someone else's computer, you probably have faced the following dilemna:

- #PowerPoint files don't render nicely across computers. Files, videos, a number of problems. Especially if you're using LibreOffice Impress.

- #PDFs are perfectly portable, but you lose presenter tools like notes and time.

I think I finally found a (labour intensive) solution that solves this.

Tip of the day: #PDFs come from a variety of sources but not always in the perfect form for your work. Sometimes you may have pages you don’t need. Maybe you had a marathon scanning session to one big document but need individual documents now. Hab nur teilweise Streifen nachdem ich mal so blöd war mit buntstift Text zu schwärzen.

a. if you are interested, have a link (through a quick DM),
b. if you are fine with exchanging Google addresses, you may drop some more stuff there too, whereas
c. if you'll find it useful, just say and the files will be plowed, weeded, and generally put in neat order, which is done just from time to time.
