Remade 5th Ave downtown cart pod gets the thumbs up so far. Lot of visible security at lunch which these days is prob necessary to attract crowds. Moderately busy. Nice amenities. Good selection of carts. Unfortunately I can't recommend Dhaba Indian food, which is basic underseasoned mids, but that's part of cart life - not everything hits, just try something next time.

La Jarochita Mexican cart has been the can't miss move here for 15 years and is still around. Try a huarache

friends, family, and alumni gathered at Milwaukie high school last night to remember their assistant track and football coach, Roland Aumueller. He was just 59 when it's believed he suffered a heart attack after a football game at Parkrose on Friday night.

The family of Danielle Abrahams, who was killed on august 3 by a car that crashed through her house, want the woman responsible to own up to her actions. Police say they think she was driving under the influence at the time of the crash, and was arrested for vehicular homicide and DUI.

There is an interesting type of street art that comes in the form of painted panels and string designs. #PDX

Got tix for a 9/22 IMAX matinee of "Stop Making Sense" at Lloyd and a 9/29 late afternoon showing at Cinema 21 #pdx on a normal big screen, so feeling pretty good about things.

Last saw it on a big screen in 1984 at the Circle West End Cinema in Washington, DC.

I have a digital versatile disc of it, of course.

Working hard to bring back the Sunshine Van to St John's. The founder started taking supplies to homeless people, I added a solar charging station to it.

The founder realized just how much work it was. Let's revive the program. St John's has run every homeless service out of the area but there are still *people* who needs help. Winter is coming.
