One of the good things about working in a department where most of my colleagues have young kids:

Kids are filthy animals that spread disease, which means there is peace and quiet in the department today, while many of my colleagues are at home peeing out their butts in a family setting 🙃

Do I feel guilty for feeling good about other people’s diarrhea? Yes. But I’m still enjoying the silence in the office 😉

i had a vacation day. i needed to really gtfo alone for some #NatureTherapy. so, i went to an open space preserve (one hour drive each way) for a one hour hike. here are few things i saw. due to my crappy camera, i only got some close-up shots.

the weather could not have been better: just wet enough to make dedicated visitors avoid the trails (otherwise the mountain lion warnings...). the solitude could not have been more appreciated.
