I started watching #PeakyBlinders and I love it! The acting is astounding and such varied English dialects! Birmingham of early 20st century looks very authentic and the Peaky Blinders gang is inspired by a true story.

#BreakingBad and #PeakyBlinders are fun shows. I'm rewatching season one of PB and having a blast. But here's the thing: You're not supposed to idolize Walter White & Thomas Shelby. They're not antiheroes, they're not good people. They're gangsters and crime lords, and if you want to dress like Tommy and do the shit either of them do, you're missing the point. They're interesting well told stories. They're not holding the main characters up as role models.

I just finished #ABitOfMurderBetweenFriends. It's a hard to describe book. I think it's a bit like a classic british "old lady detective"-thing but instead of being set in the mid 1900s some place on the countryside it's set in a big city in the 2020s. And also there's a definite #PeakyBlinders vibe..

A lighthearted read on a serious subject.. Worth at least the price of the e-book if it sounds like your kind of thing 🙂

Watched episode 1 of #TheGallowsPole . From the intro, was expecting something like C18th #PeakyBlinders. Instead, it was an hour of Yorkshiremen swearing at one another and complaining about how shite things are. The credits were the most interesting part of the entire episode. Disappointed.

Ended up down a YouTube hole watching cuts people have made of Succession-inspired intros. Quality varies. In my opinion, we have a winner...
