R is on plane for Korea. The treatment she had for fatal #peanutallergy after college changed her life. Trips to Korea before then were scary and her social life suffered.
We watched an intricately plotted Inspector Lewis episode last night and I am haunted by the AMATEUR TRACHEOTOMY. Nightmare from before my daughter's lengthy treatment for fatal #peanutallergy

Things that make me sad: my sons will probably never enjoy a peanut butter cup
Things that make me happy: I get to eat all my sons' peanut butter cups
They did this on my previous flight and it’s pretty standard practice on most airlines nowadays. This jerk, however kept telling me they don’t do it. Yes they do, as I flew back in May with them and they did it then. So I told him he was no help what so ever and I would talk with the cabin crew when boarding. So not impressed #PeanutAllergy #allergic #AerLingus /

A bit aggravated by the lack of customer service with the man from #AerLingus I spoke to this morning. I was calling to get my #PeanutAllergy notes on my upcoming flight. I’ve flown with them before and had no problems but this guy was unhelpful, rude and obviously doesn’t know anyone with a severe allergy. I only wanted the file notes and the cabin crew to notify the people in my area there is a severe peanut allergy on board and to refrain from eating them. 1/

Food allergy is not a “life choice.” It is real. It is deadly. It doesn’t “go away.” It is a constant in the background. It needs to be discussed. #foodallergy #peanutallergy #FAparenting
