@LDJ @whitepineswhisper @DanyWho @plants oeh I did not know #PeatFreeApril !! Nice to know :) Here in the Netherlands it is still quite rare to find peat from potting ground / compost... Which is quite annoying ..

@whitepineswhisper @DanyWho @plants We do refer to it as compost in the U.K. but there’s a growing movement here against using those containing peat. Some larger stores and nurseries have already stopped selling, or growing in peat-based compost, as the removal of peat causes significant carbon release and damage to delicate ecosystems. I’ve switched all my compost mixes to #PeatFree ones and there are some excellent ones out there 💚 #PeatFreeApril

I'm going to do my best to participate in #PeatfreeApril but it doesn't feel like we have many peatfree options around here #Gardening
