I was away from home camping at a music festival for the weekend. I didn't want to have to charge my Samsung smart watch every day, so I switched to using my old Pebble Time watch from 2015.

Three days later and it still has 60% charge. We really have gone backwards in terms of convenience in our technology!

Does that even make sense? The pebble is already severely resource constrained, but I vaguely remember the IDE using C and having low level system calls for drawing on the screen. UXN watch faces seem like a pretty cool idea to me.

I think that beloved #PebbleWatch is finally dying. 😢

My ancient Pebble 1.0 is still running (long after Pebble itself alas). Today I finally got a weather watchface to connect—I had given up on dynamically updating place/weather data, but NOAA actually connected and I now have scudding clouds to show me signs of the impending storm in Erie.
