The rules are a bit stupid, as they asked us to count e-scooters as personal vehicles. So read “car” as a “non-pedalled mobility device”, i.e. e-scooters and electric unicycles.

The #Ottawa #OttBike #OttVelo #PedalPoll2023 is gaining momentum with about 40% of shifts filled - but we need YOUR help to make this a success. If you’re willing to spend 2 hours counting all modes of traffic next week, you can help us learn more about #cycling and #ActiveTransportation in the city. There are 26 locations across the city. This initiative is part of a NATIONAL poll, led by velocanadabikes.org, and the results will be used to learn more about who cycles, and where. Possible shifts are during commute hours, midday, and the weekend. Survey spots are the same as last year’s, found on this map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1MBDTZ64KDBAEyJetgMK4H0qq8lkW2q5X For more info and to sign up: https://velocanadabikes.org/pedalpoll/

Velo Canada Bikes is doing #PedalPoll2023 in #Ottawa again this year. You can sign up here to participate https://velocanadabikes.org/pedalpoll/volunteer-to-count/ - but may have already received an email if you were signed up last year (check your spam!). The counting locations are the same as last year, but rather than counting cyclist descriptors, we will be counting other users at the location as well (pedestrians, and vehicle types too). The count will be June 6-11. I hope you can join! #PleaseShare #OttBike #OttVelo #CitizenScience
