Weird that both town officials and #pedicab companies say they didn’t know that students on #J1 visas can’t be pedicab drivers. It’s been right at the top of the list of prohibited jobs for years. It feels like I am living in the #future talking to the computer in my #car having it spit out debugging information over speech while I drive. Then pull into a parking spot and make minor changes to the code.
I would have loved something like this when I was a #pedicab driver. Be able to play very local music for my passengers while I take them through the city.
Based on my testing I should be able to use this from Yonkers down to every borough in NYC, and a lot of Long Island and NJ.

One important detail --- even in states where non-compete clauses are illegal, employers still try to get employees to sign these agreements. Many employees wrongly assume the agreements are binding.

I say this because in my past I was a #Pedicab driver and the company I worked with (as an indy contractor --- I basically paid rent per night to rent the cab) tried to get us to sign a non-compete clause when we started. I was unaware of the OK law at the time so instead insisted on writing...
