Will be some buzz today about that #FDA has approved the first #RSV vaccine for pregnant women. Great of course.
But to spoil some of the party: in the trial, vaccine efficacy was lower and in fact non-sign, in infant <3m, i.e. the most vulnerable. So, more effective stuff is still needed, and esp for infants <6w.

children had many different naive T cells to fight #SARSCoV2 & made poor memory T cell responses to 🦠 after they had recovered .These data suggest that rapid clearance of 🦠 in children may compromise their cellular immunity & ability to resist reinfection.
