David Bazan is such an underrated songwriter, and there’s no better example of that than the 10 songs that appear on Control; a compact concept album about a businessman who cheats on his wife, and then dies by her angry hands.
Phenomenal final record for this pensive Friday night.

I like to revisit the earlier albums of #PedroTheLion every now and then. It's been a while since I last listened to this album, so today it's time for The Only Reason I feel Secure.

I love David Bazan’s songwriting. He’s got one of those voices that can’t be mistaken for anyone else.

The murderous run of the first three Pedro records (of which this is the second) are a grand indie rock high watermark, and I think this one is my favorite. Control is a close second, but if I’m in the mood for a PTL record, this is what I usually reach for.
