Forgive me for not being particularly excited about more socioeconomically unsustainable exploitation of the area by the tourism industry.

The roads in the Tweed Valley are littered with the crushed bodies of animals slain by impatient motorists. Every time I go out for a couple of hours on my bike I see badgers, hedgehogs, rabbits, crows, sparrows, deer β all dead.

It's a high quality route and I hear rumours it will be extended to Leadburn. #cycling #Peebles #Scotland

A sunny day visit to Neidpath Castle, Peebles, built by Sir William de Haya (d.c.1390) c14th century, it was held by the family until the 17th century.
The castle was visited by Mary, Queen of Scots c1563 and by her son James VI in 1587 and me several times 1980-2020's.
