Today's thread is about Pella's Column. This is a place that appears to have familiar fantasy tropes - elves, halflings, magic, quarreling guilds, quasi-medieval setting, etc.

Then you find coffee, one of the most profitable trading goods on the island. Coffee is also a point of cultural divide - taverns and coffeehouses have been feuding since for decades.

All the coffee, brewer, and merchant guilds signed the Vanishing Point Treaty to end open disputes.
