TIL that if you gently “touch” a toot with an edit it will prompt the system (likely the hosting instance - I’m guessing the details) to re-check the metadata of a referenced link.
This is handy if - to choose an example at random - your pinned toot(s) point to a website where you thought you had set up #OpenGraph or twitter #metadata correctly but you hadn’t. Oops.
Anyway - that’s why I’ve made some white space edits to pinned toots today.
