Note to self for future reference: #Pennsic #Heralds Point Greeter is a really fun volunteer job. Pure unadulterated cat-herding for an hour or two.

(Today is just pickups, which is pretty calm, but Tuesday was absolutely eye-of-the-storm line management.)

Small triumphs: did the #Pennsic populace #archery shoot today. First time I've picked up a bow since 2018. In two rounds, got 14 points on Advancing Monsters, 6 on the Slot, 9 on the Clout.

So I feel like I am successfully defending my self-proclaimed title of Most Mediocre Archer of the East. (Not bad, mind - I'm better than most of the populace - I just don't work hard enough to be *good*.)

It rained today, for the first time in a week. Here I am waiting it out on the back of a golf cart in the motor pool tent.

You know that point in the journey of escaping a #cult when you realize that everyone you know is still in, and you've forgotten how to interact with people who don't have that common experience base, and you feel totally alone and you wonder if you really made the right decision because maybe, just maybe, the comfort and familiarity might have been worth all of the emotional abuse and constant drain on your soul?

I am realizing that I probably want a decent #solar panel / battery for #Pennsic this year. I don't actually know that space at all well. Anybody have specific recommendations? Disrecommendations? Considerations I should be thinking about?

(Primary task is to feed into my CPAP battery; secondary is to charge my phone. Doesn't have to be cheap, but I don't want to be dumb about it.)

April 28 is Clean Comedy Day! While traditional commedia dell'arte from the 16th Century was often quite bawdy much of the humor (slapstick, confusion, disguises, etc) can be accessible and tailored to an all audience crowd!
