Am nĂ€chsten Tag geht es auf zum Nordostkorridor. Allerdings mit einer kleinen AbkĂŒrzung. Erstmal mit #PATH zur #Newark #PennStation. Schnell gesprochen ist die Frage, wie man das vom New Yorker Pendant unterscheiden kann.
Die PATH-Strecke fĂŒhrt ĂŒber die FlĂŒsse östlich des Hudson mit Ausblick auf Massen von HubbrĂŒcken und Skyways. Wenn da ein Schiff durchfĂ€hrt, muss New Jersey lahmgelegt sein.

Nun geht es los in die Weite Amerikas.
10 Stunden Zugfahrt mit dem #Amtrak #EmpireService nach Niagara Falls. Aber: alles nur in einem Bundesstaat. New York ist ganz schön groĂ.
Das Ambiente des Gleisbereichs von #PennStation und auch das Personal verleiten einen zum schnellen Einsteigen in den Zug. Das Gleis wird ohnehin erst 10 min vor Abfahrt angezeigt.

When I view Alfred Eisenstaedtâs #photos taken in #pennstation Iâm reminded of some of the eraâs wonderful songs such as âIâll Be Seeing You,â Thereâll Never Be Another You,â and âWeâll Meet Again.â

The new #LIRR concourse at #PennStation is "substantially complete" now. I went there a few weeks ago and it looks really nice, especially compared to what was there before. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
