@LaurelStandley I read Rachel Carson's Silent Spring almost half a century ago. I still vividly remember a particular passage about the effects on the environment when pesticides were sprayed on a lake for mosquitoes. ' massive fish die off immediately, then the waterfowl, then other birds and finally wildlife eating any of the above'...and the kicker, "....so the next year when they sprayed..." WTAF??!?
