I wrote into the Galway City Tribune this week expressing my disapproval of BusConnect's proposed removal of the bus stop in my community.

This is an obvious attempt at making the route more profitable for private operators to possibly service the route instead of continued service to a community.

I generally support the BusConnect plan but it must be maintained as a public service and serve the communities where they are.

We need more bus stops, not less.
