when the probability of pixels being disconnected is higher then the result is much more chaotic, with many small islands and no large ones

I made this by randomly connecting pixels and coloring the contiguous islands
when there is an equal chance that adjacent pixels are connected or disconnected then you get a fractal-esque pattern like this, where islands of all sizes appear
