Gestern, bevor es schließt, und da ich wohl zu alt sein werde, wenn es dereinst wieder öffnet, war ich mir K2 und Freund im #Pergamon. Wir hatten einen schönen Tag, auch wenn Berlin mir zu laut ist und ich eine Gaststätte unter einer S-Bahn eher unromantisch finde

a) das Museum ist toll, aber nicht allzu groß und derzeit sind auch Teile wegen Umbau gesperrt...
b) kauft euch die Tageskarte für die ganze Museumsinsel - da gibt es noch weitere tolle Museen...
c) wer sich das Museum ansehen möchte, sollte das bald tun, da es ab Oktober für die nächsten **Jahre** wegen Umbau geschlossen ist...

Im Pergamon-Museum ist eh nur Raubkunst. Kann alles weg. Ein leerer Raum wird umbenannt in Roger-Waters-Saal und beherbergt das Museum für „palästinensische Geschichte“ mit der Direktorin Sawsan Chebli. In die anderen Räume können Flüchtlinge aus der Ukraine und später die ukrainische Exilregierung. #pergamon

Das #Pergamon #Museum #Berlin schließt ab Oktober 2023 zunächst komplett für mehrere Jahre. Wer also vorher noch mal hin möchte, sollte das bald tun.

The #ancient "divination kit" from #Pergamon originally consisted of 8 #artefacts including 1 ring.

When Richard Wuensch, the first editor of the objects, opened the box, he found 2 rings.

It's unknown which one of the rings was found with the other 7 objects and how the 2nd #ring came into the box.

The #Hekate Altar from Pergamon was inscribed with 13 #magic signs on each rim.

But it was also inscribed with magic signs on the outside of the rims!

I wonder if this served a double protection: Nothing can come in and nothing can get out.
