Myoga, Japanese ginger

Watering plants at the most important corner of my backyard, where I have Myoga 😉 They are growing well, hopefully providing us with nice condiments 😋

When I do yard work, I tend to have beer, which makes me a better target of mosquitoes 🤔

DEET didn’t work, my old permethrin-treated t-shirt didn’t work 🥲 I need to get new treated shirts for fishing (I got many bites during fishing)🤔

@andrewbriscoe Permethrin treated my hiking clothes thru the Insect Shield company in North Carolina (sadly, probably at higher cost than doing it myself!!). And didn't find a single tick on my body during months of hiking. A year later the treatment seems to be keeping off the ticks off of me while I'm out in the meadow or cutting grass. Good stuff.

@larsmb I’ve found #ExOfficio’s #BugsAway line of clothing to be very effective at keeping bugs at bay. My bugsaway shirt greatly reduces #mosquitoes around my head. Not sure if #permethrin embedded in clothing fabric is safer than #DEET on the skin, but it certainly feels a lot less gross.

hikers, mushroom hunters: if you have #permethrin-baked clothes, which can be washed ~70 times, do you keep a log of the washing? Or does that qualify as OCD?
