I enjoyed Nima Arkani-Hamed's popular talk "The End of Space-Time" as a gentle context for me to understand the #amplituhedron I see parallels with the discrete model in my video "Combinatorial Interpretation of the #SchroedingerEquation " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ReRg_TCKSY where integrals are replaced with sums over #permutations.

I finally figured out (in my head and pseudo code, so untested) how to randomize where segments exist in 1D space such that I could iterate over all possible #permutations from any set of starting positions. I'm having to rewrite some code, but it's a necessity if I want the types of outcomes that would lead to interesting states. This is one small part of a larger algorithm. More to come in the next few weeks.
