The clock radio has shut itself off, after a dutiful hour if sharing the latest news from NPR with me. After some stumbling and grumbling I have procured strong hot coffee and ice water. I sit and sip, alternating as needed. I breathe. I sit in silence for a time. Checking in with myself, body and soul. Relaxing and stretching and unrolling from the tightly wrapped fetal position of the last few years...
