I just finished the second jail in #Persona5Strikers. It took me multiple attempts to beat the final boss, each of which burnt a bunch of time, but I feel like I now have a better understanding of the battle system. Still have a ways to go in that department, though. Feel the same way about #FinalFantasyXVI.

I plan on beating P5S before #Persona3Reload comes out and FF16 before #FinalFantasy7Rebirth's release. Both should be easy goals which would give me time to play some games I already own.

Nine hours in, I'm loving #Persona5Strikers! Getting fresh content with the P5 characters, locations, and music is a treat.

Playing it in tandem with Final Fantasy XVI is interesting as the battle inputs are similar, although I wish I could get PlayStation button prompts when playing P5S on PC with an Xbox controller. I really do not like dealing with the different ABXY layouts of Xbox and Switch controllers.

I tried to find a game that I own to get back into but none of them really spoke to me so I decided to pull the trigger and buy #Persona5Strikers.
I finished vanilla P5 last July so I feel just like the characters who are reuniting for the first time in a while. On top of that, I really like that I'm playing a game that is set in the summer when it's actually summer.
And despite the fact that I've been listening to the P5 soundtrack lately, hearing familiar songs in-game is a special experience.

For the second day in a row I am left feeling quite discouraged after playing #FinalFantasyXIII. I keep getting into difficult battles that I try very hard to win but ultimately give up on. Now I'm stuck at a boss that I need to beat in order to progress.
Yesterday #Persona5Strikers went on sale again (now cheaper than ever), and per usual I'm tempted to get it. I would love to beat FF13 soon but I'm just not having that much fun with it. I think I'm just playing it to cross off my backlog.

I've gone back and forth on whether or not I want a PS5 since they came out.

I have recently gone back the the 'not' side of the fence. I think I'd rather spend $270 on a similarly performing #GraphicsCard and $48 on #TalesOfArise and #Persona5Strikers (taking advantage of Steam's regular sales)
than $400 or $500 on a #PS5 and $70 on #FinalFantasyXVI.

I'd love to play #FinalFantasyVIIRebirth when it comes out but I waited until Remake came to Steam (on sale)...

I think I can do it again.

I've been really good at not getting new PC games. I've only purchased 2 since 2021, #SoulHackers2 when it came out in August of last year and #FinalFantasyVIIRemake when it came to Steam in June.
That said, I'm currently itching to get a new one.
I'm interested in #Persona5Strikers but I think I'd rather get a turn-based RPG, preferably something that looks modern.

Steam is tempting me to buy #Persona5Strikers yet again but I have too many PC games that I've been neglecting which I should put more time into instead of starting something new (namely FF13, Tales of Berseria, and Death Stranding).

That said, I have the same situation with my Switch but I just bought #SMT3 for $20 from GameStop...

I've gotten to the Assembly of Nihilo on the PS2 version but then lost a bunch of progress and am now back at the Ginza Underpass so I might as well start over.

Final #videogame post for now. #FireEmblemThreeHopes was the surprise of the year for me. I never got into the #Musou genre before, but somehow this game really connected with me, and it convinced me to also give #Persona5Strikers and #HyruleWarriors a try, and then I went back to #FireEmblemWarriors. And honestly, I've been enjoying them, not all equally so, but from nowhere it's become my third most played genre this year.

Shame that #persona5strikers cutscenes are still borked on Deck. Really loving the characters and gladly would spend more time with them, but currently streaming from my PC or Installing Windows on Deck is just not my cup of tea :(
