I was less daring than Paul Bowles. I'd tell my mum I needed money for textbooks & go out & buy 12" records from Central Station Records (at Princes Bridge & later the City Square if anyone in Melbourne remembers these long-gone locations).

A real favourite from 1978 was "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" by #Sylvester, a trailblazing #GayIcon & #PersonalHero, who made this 13 year old at the time feel mighty real.
