I have a theory that men are either Felix Ungar (whiny, hypochondriacal, tightly wound) or Oscar Madison (cool, laid back, life's to be enjoyed). When I was very young, I was Felix, around 30 I fortunately became more of an Oscar but the older I get I seem to revert back to being a Felix. 5 extra points if you know who these archetypes are ;-)

Inconsistent and very weak associations (at best) between childhood personality and general conservatism, social conservatism, and economic conservative.

Who Goes Nazi?

Harper’s article written in 1941

An interesting & somewhat macabre parlor game to play at gatherings: to speculate who would go Nazi

I've experienced many times—in Germany, in Austria, & in France

I have come to know the types: the born Nazis, the Nazis whom democracy itself has created, the certain-to-be fellow-travelers

I also know those who never, under any conceivable circumstances, would go Nazi

According to a psychology study, you can tell a lot about someone’s personality from what they’re like.

It's obvious, that there are people who have followers who call these people "leaders", & these so called "leaders" speak & write about , but they live the most polluting lifestyles.

Leading by a bad example isn't leading, it's hypocrisy.

Sociopathologies are antisocial traits such as a lack of honesty, humility & care. Sociopaths use charm, false promises, etc, to deceive people (it's an act)

Deception is perceived by the sociopath as them being above average intelligence ("cunning", "manipulative", " cruel"). A narcissistic personality trait.

Sociopaths use deception to promote ideas & sell products they know are environmentally harmful

Some people are more narrative than others, according to a new theory. Narrative people tend to see their lives as coherent stories, while non-narrative people focus on the present moment. The theory suggests that both types have advantages and disadvantages in different situations. 3quarksdaily.com/3quarksdaily/

I think it is possible that many of us have elements of aristocratic behavior (justly or not) embedded in our personality whether we realize it or not. Like it is just any other type of personality flaw. I would even go so far to say that this personality flaw may be more widespread that even general society is aware of, on a conscious level.
