Matzah with peanut butter is a special treat for my father and me after Pesach is over, since we don’t do kitniyot. One time, my father dropped a piece face down on the floor so we put it out for the critters. A lucky squirrel came across it, licked all the peanut butter off, and left the matzah! To this day I haven’t gotten over it.

Red fruit slices are the most popular. My favorite are yellow, but my (admittedly small) family all like red best, confirming the accuracy of my poll. In any case, all fruit slices are delicious especially when made with real fruit juice.

I found an online copy of the old Bon Appetit recipe that I use for Passover chocolate hazelnut (or your nut of choice) mousse cake. It’s so rich. As second breakfast with a cup of coffee it’s giving me a ridiculous sugar + choco-caffeine rush. But at least there’s protein, in the form of one egg per serving.
