If expectations about #inflation feed into economic practice(s) including the call for wage rises, then it is interesting to note research in the US suggests such expectations can be often gender specific.

Those doing the weekly shop (often, but of course not exclusively, #women) focus on prices such as #milk of other staples, while those who (perhaps always refuel the car) focus on #petrol prices...

We all have key indicators we use, but these vary & our behaviour will differ as a result.

We already know that slow completion of network connections to the #nationalgrid is slowing the development & deployment of #renewableenergy production across the UK.

Now it seems this is also slowing the expansion of the #electricvehicles #charging network required for the accelerated shift away from #petrol & #diesel cars.

Another privatised #utility is not doing what it needs to be doing because its attention is not on #infrastructure provision but on rent extraction!

Seeing a pattern?

As many as 90% of cars used in #Estonia are either #petrol or #diesel cars, according to a survey. Meanwhile, 10% of #cars have other types of engine, mostly #hybdrid or gas-powered. Only 1% of respondents drive EVs.
