@Graphical_Ronin I made an opera singer in #pf1e who was a MtF transgender tiefling whom didn't knew she actually was a tiefling. Got her backstory so we'll fleshed out I still cry thinking that campaign ended at the second session.
Anyway I made an entire tribe of educated goblins which enjoyed going to the theater back in 3.5. Very fun their interaction with the party.
@Glupinickname I love #ose, their books are clean and well made. I'm still going to play #pf1e with my new group, but only because I need a system I know I can rely on and pre-writtenbcampaigns do to my limited time these days. I hope soon to be able to play my own campaign using #osr, but it'll take some time.
Back to #PF1E. With this new group I hope we'll be able to go through my favourite APs: Rise of the Runelords, Curse of the Crimson Throne, Second Darkness, Carrion Crown, Jade Regent, Shattered Star, Strange Aeons, Return of the Runelords, and Tyrant's Grasp. This new group will be epic!

I need sneaky and stabby with smoke and flash bombs, based on what the player told me. Also, the character needs to be really mobile so being able to tumble through an opponent's square and set up a flanking situation is a good thing. I'm liking the Rogue's ability to catch all opponents flat-footed if they don't get to act before you (Surprise Attack).

@risa
A monk with the assassin archetype is a good idea but I need to look into how sneaky a monk is.
I was also thinking a Rogue with a Thief racket and an Assassin archetype might work.

I'm looking for the best way(s) to build a ninja in #pathfinder2e .
I have a player who really wants to play one but the class wasn't ported from #PF1E to #PF2e to my knowledge.
Any thoughts, Fediverse?
@architech
Thanks for your answer! I've seen systems where the players roll to defend versus a fixed target number, based on how effective the attack is. This replaces the GM rolling an attack on a PC on behalf of the monster.
I'd like to see a simple system to convert #PF1E or #DND5e / #DND monster attacks to target numbers the players can roll to defend their PCs against. I've seen some conversions but I can't seem to grokk them.
