As for the art, everything but the title/author text and paper rip effect were done in Krita, using the sketch ink brush for the cat and handwritten text and I forget what for the colors. Some kinda marker brush, or @davidrevoy 's flat blue brush probably. The handwritten lines are from the story itself, hand-picked for creepiness!
