I rode my bike across Anderson bridge today (It's closed to car traffic during repairs, but open to pedestrians and bikes).

It's nice to have car-free roads.

I'd like to see some permanent ones.

So long awkward bridge pillar! I won't miss navigating around this absurd little bottleneck twice a day.

This small stretch of the bike path will be closed for the next six months while they build the Point Park Connector to bypass this. Detour through downtown is mildly annoying, but definitely worth it.

Is it weird that I feel a bit of fondness for this quirky little obstacle? First they drain Eagle Lake, then they bypass the bridge pillar -- They're taking all the character out of biking in Pittsburgh!

The path between Mon Wharf and the Point will be closed starting Feb 1 for about six months for the construction of the Point State Park Connector:

On Oct 31, #FriendsOfTheRiverfront temporarily closed a half mile section of the #GAPTrail to fix the ponding issue by the eagle viewing area (dubbed #EagleLake). It is expected to reopen in approximately 3 more weeks.
