But no, when you read reviews or you listen to keynote talks on the subject we'll find somewhere 'oh, btw, it would be nice to know the function of these thingies'. Guess what? There's evidence that if they have a function is not essential, e.g. embryos without - classic condensate! - are viable (see linked article from >10y ago).
