So, I finally dove in and wrote some replacements for some legacy C database functions, using #rust and #pgx.
The regular functions were an extremely pleasant experience. The aggregates, less so, but far better than C. Better yet, these functions now have proper tests!
I've yet to determine if there's a performance gap.
