I just had wonderful feedback about a chapter that I was struggling with; it was insightful and uplifting. That is precisely how I believe peer review should be. The secret? I teamed up with two other PhD from my lab with similar topics. We Zoom monthly to discuss our work and struggles, 3 is a good number because we can really go into each other's work, understand the context and use time efficiently.
