Si j'ai UN conseil à donner aux thésards qui débutent ou vont débuter dans les semaines qui viennent, c'est de faire des backups. Tout de suite, là maintenant. J'ai découvert ça en perdant mes deux premiers mois de thèses avec le disque dur de mon PC (depuis je fais deux backups par jour en ligne et de temps en temps sur un disque physique qui reste au lano), et maintenant trois ans plus tard ça me fait toujours ch*er.

My work desk only exists for my #cat when I am working at it. Just had a Zoom meeting with my advisor where Chester proceeded to dive bomb it like a plane, roll on the keyboard, step on the keyboard, and scream directly into the mic. For people who do experiments and write papers/reports about it... how do you organise your files? Do you put your data in a different place to where you have your writing files? For some reason, this is how I've ended up and I feel split. I feel like I want to put everything together... but there are common data files that I use for all experiments, so... it's prob not a good idea. What do other people do?

Back on the tools today, one task at a time. Taking it slow. I wonder if that will affect my output. Am I going to be slower OR is it a mindset? We shall see. Right now I am inserting my work into a template for a conference. The paper is written for a longer word count journal paper, I hope to be able to spin it out and get two outputs from the same experiment. First time morning #savers since month. Meditation was okay, everything else pretty hard. Getting back on my feet to re-enter my #phdlife . After a long ass infection that fucked up my vitamine levels, burn out symtoms and hard career choices. I realy hope I will be better soon, for myself any everyone around me.

#EdD ad M.Ed degrees as participation degrees will no real purpose or direction. If I wait to get a #Phd I would 100% need to relocate and it would be years before I was able to do so, if ever. I am only considering this Doctorate of Education because it is better than nothing. I still have a couple of months to decide, but I don’t know what to do. I was trained for the #PhDLife, not a Docttite of Education, give away degree.

I have been waiting for an email that was meant to come weeks ago. I refreshed the app too many times to count daily. Then I was waiting for an email about why the email from weeks ago hadn't arrived. Continued to refresh the app. This morning I FINALLY got an update email that said to expect the original email next week. Phew. I can relax.

Except I have still refreshed the app so many times since! Gah!

Email is evil.
