This server didn't exist when I got permission from my IRB to recruit my #PHD #survey, so I can only promote here if I take on more paperwork.

But I can ask for advice... how would you get the attention of #Airline #Pilots in the US when trying to find survey participants? I'm doing FB, LI, and TW. I can't work with the airlines directly. I'm continuing to try and get posts in their union communications, but only one has followed through.

Data collection update: 9 days in, I have 23 complete responses or 1/4 of my minimum. Most came last weekend as I announced it on social media and then nothing for a few days. Yesterday, I got another 9 as one of the airline unions put the study out to their members. Now that I have some baseline response rates, I’ll do more posting starting Monday. While this may seem slow, it’s actually quick in academia. I would have felt good to get this far by the end of next week. #PHDProblems #research

It’s funny. I just realized I’m taking any and all online surveys which is distinctly different for me. I think it’s just my brain exercising good karma while I wait for responses on my #PHD survey.

an update... as of a few moments ago, 15 people have started the survey, and 11 have finished it.

That may not seem like much but in the world of #PhD research, 11 completed in the first day is a massive result. Thank you all for helping get the word out.
