Yesterday evening I saw Phelim McDermott in Tao of Glass--an homage to Philip Glass (though the title refers to a coffee table, not the composer---an exploration of Consciousness through theatre, Lao Tzu, the I Ching, and the Rig Veda.

At one point he shareed the great British actors he'd seen, one being Sir Lawrence Olivier in The Merchant of Venice. I remembered seeing Dustin Hoffman in London perform the same role the night Olivier died.
