If I ignited the tubes with 190V they would draw 2.5 mA each and there would be 130V across the tubes (the rest was across the dropping resistors).
But if I ignited the tubes with 170V they would only draw 1.5mA and there was 140V across the tubes.
This #phenomenon is called negative resistance.

It's the ultimate argumentum ad ignorantiam (argument from #ignorance), and one that could be avoided with a simple #Google search or two. Sometimes UFOs are legit. Most of the time they're not. But claiming that well-understood, natural phenomena are #aliens is just stupid.

A light pillar is an atmospheric optical phenomenon which is created when a light is reflected off by ice crystals giving out roughly horizontal parallel light beams. The light can come from the moon or other terrestrial sources like volcanic eruptions or even streetlights. Light pillars belong to the family of halos.
