This is the current dilemma for public health agencies, and is part of the reason it’s inadvisable to ask agencies to act beyond the clear scope of that authority - could have devastating ripple effects that will disproportionately harm the least well-off. #PHLaw #PHEthx

This is an absolutely fascinating paper from which I learned much. I am not a social scientist, but I still love the deep engagement with social theory and its application to a "critical epidemiology" that attends to the social determination of health.
