#New_Zealand #pilot was captured by the #Papuans in #Indonesia

The pilot of the evacuation plane, #Philippe_Marc_Mertens, was captured last week by pro-independence Papua separatists. The plane of the New Zealander was burned, and a photo session was arranged with him to show that he was still alive.

West Papua Liberation Army rebels say he will be fine as long as Indonesia does not use its weapons from the air or on the ground.
