Watching MPs waste their valuable time interviewing #ITV about #philipschofield & referring to a consenting adult as “person x” is chilling. He was an adult. There is zero evidence of child grooming. This is so completely wrong headed, inappropriate and destructive for real victims, and of course subtly (or not so subtly) homophobic. #ITV seem to have its knickers in a twist about #philipschofield recruiting a person he was having a fling with onto the #thismorning team. It’s not anyones first rodeo. Bosses have been hiring their bits-on-the-side since before corporations existed. What’s unusual is that both parties are men and both ITV and the British media are institutionally #homophic and #ageist. I can understand why he lied, when this three-ring circus and shop of curiosities was probably what he was trying to avoid.

I trust all these people at ITV & elsewhere who are striking such a moral pose over Philip Schofield’s affair will similarly refuse to have anything to do with the new King Charles III? It would be nice to have at least one TV channel that was king-free.

I remember this stage adaptation of the Rex Harrison film arrived with great fanfare. I believe it was Philip Schofield's first major role on stage after suddenly breaking into musical theatre via Joseph.
