Author @MikeElgan doesn't mean “stop using LLMs” in his “It’s time to break the ChatGPT habit”; he means broaden your generative AI horizon beyond ChatGPT. For example, Phind was new to me, and it's quite a good chatbot - including search result links.

#Phind #programming confusion. Not the best C programmer, and just for fun I asked at phind.com for some TCP sockets Win64 code. (code seems believable, although I haven't even compiled yet).

Web page mentioned a VSCode extension, but searching I find v1.0.2 by 'Juan López Tello' (deprecated) and another v0.1.2 by 'phind'. Hmm...

30 searches available (well, 29 now) on web page, but no mention of fees to follow, or using my code in a 2-way sharing deal.

Is there a catch?

It's pretty hard to learn hard things if everybody around shows you how to do them easily with help from ChatGPT. I use them too for some guidance (phind.com), but I want to comprehend the whole process. Am I missing something / learning in an obsolete way?
