ស្លាប means wing, of a plane, of a bird, or even of a fan blade!

You can eat chicken wings, ញុាំស្លបមាន់ but be careful with the spelling and pronunciation of the word ស្លាប because whilst ស្លាបមាន់ is chicken wings, មាន់ស្លាប់ is dead chicken! (Tho មាន់ងាប់ is probably more correct, as whilst both ស្លាប់ and ងាប់ both mean to die, ងាប់ refers more specifically to animals)

Do you notice any similarities between the Khmer word for Sun, and the Khmer word for Sunday?

ប្រះ = Buddha / God / Celestial or Holy Being
ថ្ងៃ = Day
អាទិត្យ = Sun / Week

In my experience សប្តាហ៍​ is more commonly used for "week" tho I have heard both in spoken Khmer.

Moon: ព្រះច័ន្ទ

There's several different ways to say moon, but ព្រះច័ន្ទ seems to be the most common, and is often heard in love songs.

An apparently more poetic alternative to ព្រះច័ន្ទ is ព្រះខែ, and given that ព្រះ translates to god, and ខែ to month, ព្រះខែ could be literally translated as the god of months, or month god.

Another instance where I really need to figure out vowel and subconsonant kerning.

One translation of គ្រូទាយ is teacher of guesses, but the word ទាយ also means horoscope or forecast or prediction.

Noisy: សំលេងរំខាន

When talking to a friend about how I would say noisy she said I could simply say រំខាន, which can also be translated as annoying. However សំលេង (sometimes spelled សំឡេង) translates as voice, so the more complete សំលេងរំខាន might be useful if you're specifically talking about someone speaking loudly.
