My life has been so busy the last couple days as I've returned to working my full-time day job as the Costume Supervisor at a local university.

We just moved our costume stock, so I've been reorganizing it. And it's a lot of physical lifting and climbing work with no air conditioning. Oy.

But I thought I'd share a little piece I did a while ago. A phone wallpaper of one of my childhood toys that had seen better days. LOL! Enjoy!

Another bird phone wallpaper! This time, the one that started it all--a cardinal.

I found this image on Unsplash wanted to replicate the light. This is a very condensed version of the image but I'm happy with it regardless! It launched me on the journey of doing bird images, which gave me the bravery to try my own stylizations & ultimately the confidence to sell my own projects.

Here's another bird wallpaper for your phone! This is a jay.

I swear I'll run out of these birds eventually and move on... I do like making phone wallpaper's though. To me they're fun little no-pressure "art cards" that are so disposable and changeable they're almost ephemeral.

This image was originally part of a calendar I made for 2022, and I reformatted it.

Another bird wallpaper--this time with a mother swan and her cygnet hatchlings. I love this image because I tried to make the water look almost like a sky with stars and such.

For a long time, I felt this was the best bird image I'd done, but there were a couple more in my future that I was going to feel good about, too!

Ok, here's another bird wallpaper. I actually know what type of bird this is!! It's a Rose Finch, and I fell in love with it because of the coral pink coloration that I'd never seen before on a bird. It just stunned me! I had to draw one! Go look them up--their color is magical!

Okay, time for another bird wallpaper.

I watched @welshpixie 's bird stream for a while and I have to give it a thumbs up. Seriously, I just put it on in the background and listened to all the birds. At the moment I watched it there were dozens. DOZENS. Lovely songs!

Sharing another phone wallpaper. I dink around with these things a lot, making many different iterations using variations of the same pieces, and just playing. They're fun to make, fun to share, and for some reason seem "low risk" to me.

Plus I think having a piece of art in your pocket is a good life policy.
