This is a mobile game love letter.

I jump around phone games but I inevitably come back to Zenkoi. It's such a perfect game. Predictable. No forced goals. No time outs (kinda, but the egg waits haven't forced me to stop playing). I've spent something like $2 CAD on it once so it has no popup ads.

Sensory issues? Zenkoi.
Out of executives? Zenkoi.
Need to kill a small amount of time and can't get absorbed into an activity? Zenkoi.

#27 Stardew Valley

I really enjoy that this is a game I can play on my phone, but it's not a typical phone game. I can play it as much or as little as I want and the time that has passed IRL doesn't impact the game at all. I tend to get engrossed in it when I'm at a bit of a loss about what to do with myself and I don't have enough concentration for reading.

(I played a bunch of Stardew valley today because I have a headache and want to distract myself. It's great!)
