I had one of those calls.. Ya know the ones you shouldn't answer.. But I answered it.. Dead air, so I listened.. Then a guy comes on and yawns a big yawn, and i said "Hello?" he tried to act like i called him lol, then he asked if I was steven smith (i am not.) and I said yes, what do you want, and he said Fuck off, N*gger! and then hung up.

I'm not sure how that scam is supposed to work, but.. I don't think it was working. lol

Right … I’ve had ANOTHER attempted scam call: from 07371 303 644, and claiming to be from BP.

They rang off, when I went into detail about what I could see on my desktop.

"I authorized a change and verified that I'm all set so this is either unnecessary or a scam and I'm not changing my rate over the phone so stop calling me goodbye" said I in one breath over the phone bc ignoring these calls from an unfamiliar number hasn't stopped them.

Well, we had a bad night before Christmas when #Spoofing attempts auto-dialed our home phone every 4 min from different actual local phone numbers, within blocks from home.

This is not unique to our area:

A con artist is calling me over and over every 5 minutes from a different number, all spoofed.

While we all know they play Grandson in trouble... help me grandpa.. to get money from seniors.. they have used every number in Sackville area to call in the last hour...
