I have a #physics questions about #bicycles.
What roll does pedaling play in stabilizing a bike, especially when cornering?
When I take a corner on a #bike I believe I gain more stability when I pedal through it. I'm not sure it's caused by the higher speed pressing me into the corner because I will often brake at the same time to keep the speed down. My #dumbass #theory is pedaling offers some #gyroscopic stability.

Passengers look into the distance through a floor to ceiling airport window.
It looks quiet, doesn't it! It wasn't. 😆.
We were there for 8 hours. Our flight was cancelled just moments before boarding four hours late. No pilot could be found! Co-pilot and flight crew were ready! Baggage was on the plane!

Another view of what proactive wildfire management can look like. Trees are thinned leaving room for the Mule's Ears (Wyethia angustifolia) and some other stuff I couldn't identify to thrive in the understory. Notice the burn piles of woody debris (aka slash). They may be burned after seasoning or some left for habitat.

This is what proactive wildfire management can look like. Trees are thinned, bottom story shrubs and debris are culled. Prevents #wildfires from spreading along the ground and subsequent flaring from tree tops. This generally makes fires easier to contain, manage or control over time.

Our local #MemorialDay #parade was a quick affair. It was mostly #FireDepartment vehicles, a few school #MarchingBands and #ColorGuards. A couple of Cub Scout troops came through (the younger boys and don't recall older Boy Scouts or any Girl Scouts) and, surprisingly, very few #veterans, maybe ten or 15 marching at the head of the parade. Some may have been in cars but not easily seen.
