Yesterday, I watched the . As a I really enjoyed the beginning with all the father of modern that we teach at the . I liked as well how the movie represented the test.
At the beginning, I did not really understood what would be the take-home messages, but that appeared clearly after like 1h30. And it's freaking me out (so true).
I wasn't aware of the story with Lewis Strauss.

How did you find it ?

of mastodon, we seem to be converging on the consensus that is not a after all. How does something like this affect the careers of the authors of the preprint?

It's actually a type of – a discrete unit of waves among rippling through a population of electrons . Plasmons have been described as the analogue of an sound in a classical gas.

What's Britain's beef with Euratom?! I really don't understand this Conservative government's objectives. UK want to remain active in (I've not observed a contrary view on this...) because it is better for science, and ultimately better for the UK.

No sign of deal on UK return to EU Horizon science programme

So have already had interesting convos today about singing (see link for example), Guano Islands Act, and am pondering scientists propensity to use all their senses ( lick rocks; keep lists of phyla they have eaten; test drugs on themselves; what do do?

What if black holes aren't holes? Black holes might really be strange defects in spacetime called topological stars that are generated by hidden cosmic dimensions, reports a new study.

Arguably the most intelligent photo ever taken:

Solvay Conference on quantum mechanics, at the Institute International de Physique Solvay, Brussels, Belgium, in 1927. 17 of the 29 attendees were or became Nobel Prize winners.

Of course the following faces an ENORMOUS difficulty, which is because IT IS THE ENTIRETY OF THEORETICAL WHO CAN GET PUBLISHED IN MAJOR JOURNALS who are the thoroughly innumerate and inept persons believing the nonsense I’m talking about here, I am unlikely even to get a reading:

OF COURSE there are physicists who know better. Most notably the late E. T. Jaynes, who no doubt found this all par for the course.

It is always worth reading
the

They say

thebulletin.org/2023/04/whats-

They say:
"... highly enriched uranium fuel for the submarines, the type currently used in US and UK submarines. This is the same material that can be used—with chemical processing and other capabilities that Australia does not have—to manufacture the core of a nuclear weapon."

, do any of you know what 'capabilities Australia does not have' might mean?
, what chemical processes are TBoAS referring to?

I do not understand. If one were to take an oxy-acetylene torch to an AUKUS submarine, might one not have a reactor core on ones workbench in days? From there, isn't machining a dense (radioactive - yay fun) metal the only step to making a gun-type device?
You'd have to throw away the sub, some humans, a lathe and a foundry, yes. In this caper, throwing away lives and money is 'collateral damage', is it not?

How is it even remotely possible that this is not a breach (or an open backdoor) of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty?
