Yesterday, I watched the #movie #Oppenheimer. As a #physicists I really enjoyed the beginning with all the father of modern #physics that we teach at the #university. I liked as well how the movie represented the #Trinity test.
At the beginning, I did not really understood what would be the take-home messages, but that appeared clearly after like 1h30. And it's freaking me out (so true).
I wasn't aware of the story with Lewis Strauss.

I do not understand. If one were to take an oxy-acetylene torch to an AUKUS submarine, might one not have a reactor core on ones workbench in days? From there, isn't machining a dense (radioactive - yay fun) metal the only step to making a gun-type device?
