Alright, the Portals got updated and are now Cutting Edge! Rendering a big video now... I won't add any more features for now, but maybe I can try out some cool portal configurations... Any ideas? (I can only do vertical&horizontal portals, otherwise my multigrid algorithm breaks down...)

The difficult part about using multigrid technique with portals present is interpolating the values of the coarse grid back to the fine grid.
In my simple 2grid v-cycle I just avoided the problem by just allowing portals on the middle linea between the coarse vertices. So passsing a portal doesn't change the grid. But if I want multiscale grids that is a harsh limitation.

One idea is to first spread out the coarse grid values voronoi-style and then do some smoothing interpolation.

Other ideas? Calculation-cheap ideas?

Problem: At slow speed my finite-speed gravity ramps up so much that it lingers and outshines the later field of the high speed particle.

Possible solution: use relativistic mass for the field.

It was the logarithmic color map that made the tiny horizontal &vertical head start look out of proportion.
